you must be at or close sea level. When I had it in Baja it was a different bike. Big grins.
Utah is pretty stingy with it's air and it's a noticable differerence in power loss.

Trying to get to Death Valley next week to get my air fix.
The odd thing is that the S10's motor feels much quicker in the lower gears than the slower revving boxer, I was sure I was going to at least beat the 2006, if not the 2008 GSA with the full Akra system. I also rode a 2010 DOHC before buying the S10 and wasn't that impressed with the motor. After I rode the S10 a couple weeks later I would have bet that it was faster...

I did do it...

Still prefer the S10's motor over the boxer for its quicker response in the lower gears, with help of the clutch mod...

Can someone tell me (and I am sure it was posted before on page gazillion) but does the ECU flash remove T mode.

I find T mode useful in traffic especially when the boss is on the back.

The stumble and cutting out when blipping the throttle is starting to pi55 me off so now I am thinking about it.
The re-flash does not get rid of T mode. Before the flash I would run S mode exclusively as I felt that it helped minimize the shudder at 3,000 - 3,500 rpm, but now after the re-flash I'm running T mode in most cases especially 2-up. No stumble in traffic or shudder at 3,000 rpm and it pulls nice when having to pass. Even the boss noticed the difference! It's all good, maybe when your in Texas you can have the flash done while you wait.

I've been on the fence for a while now about buying this bike. There are some good deals out there. Then it happened. I started reading up on the Ducati Multistrada 1200S. Oh my, what a bike, especially the 2013 with the active suspension! I'm in love.

Any reason I should forget the Ducati and go with our Japanese friend?

If you want a bullet-proof bike that you can just gas up and ride, get the S10.

Do you see yourself going down roads like this?

Or doing this?

If so, get the Tenere.

I'm sure the Multistrada is a wonderful bike, and if I lived somewhere with twisty paved roads and a dealer nearby I'd consider it. We have to get our jollies off pavement around here though, so I got the Tenere.

Buy the Ducati. It's faster than the BMW and isn't that really what it's all about?
