What's with the flag? Neither Union Jack or USA?

That was the correct flag of 1775. It took a bit of research to find it too.

Valid flag, in use around 1776.

Bought a new/old mascot

When I grab the tag, I will introduce Mr Orange Two to the Owl.

New tag

This 232 year old home is out of place in this industrial/commercial area. Not surprisingly it is used commercially and no longer a private residence. Local residents also know this as the Stokes home.

Thanks NJ-Bill for a great grab and tag that takes a bit of detective work to find! Was it a cold ride, even with electrics?

No, it was not too bad. As long as there is no ice on the roads, I enjoy winter riding.

Earlier in this thread, you posted a nice painting and referenced this area. Do you paint murals? The reason I asked is that I passed two nice murals on each side of a tunnel yesterday and thought of that post. Here is a LINK to the murals I saw.

Thanks for the link to the great looking mural. What a clever idea to turn the tunnel into a covered bridge.
The answer is yes, that is what I do for a living (mostly interior murals though).
I prefer winter to the middle of summer riding any day!

Cry The Owl has flown away.

I rode up the hell hole known as Interstate 95, to the Garden State to introduce Mr. Orange to Owl and the key chain. It seems that grounds keepers or someone decided to take Mr Owl home with them. So Mr Orange will be replacing a long line of MIA mascots in this game.
Angelo the Orange will find a new home soon (weather permitting).

Nice job!

That is the place. Sorry about the mascot. It looks like someone cleared the leaves.

New Tag

History-
THE WYE HOUSE circa 1650
What is perhaps the oldest orangery in the United States just happens to be in Tanglewood Conservatory's backyard! The Wye House, in Talbot County, has been in the same family for 11 generations. Archaeologists and researchers have been studying the property during the past few years and recently University of Maryland researchers unearthed the greenhouse where citrus trees and other edible and ornamental plants grew.

This is a private property, so this tag shot is very close-by the Wye House.

Happy to be out and about.

He was not happy for long, when he realized I was going to bury him (he really has a mouth on him!).

Hopefully this is a hiding spot and not a grave for him. We shall see.
