If anyone was listening to the RMO radio show on Sunday AM, they caught radio as it should be.
Who needs a satellite when you've got a community?
RMO, that Knopfler/Indigo set was sublime and the Hendrix "mistake" was that which proves the rule that the spontaneity of radio will never be beat by any other media.
Just my thoughts. Not too shabby for having come back from "holidays"!
Any chance you can tell me the name of the band that did the extended instrumental that you intro'd with the remark about it being Sunday and some inspirational music was required?
By the way, did they ever get that 70lb dog into the cage and off to the vet?
Or do I have to tune in next week to find out?

By the way, the irony of the call letters K-O-T-O is remarkable, I have a sneaking suspicion that none of the staffers have ever "Koto"ed to anyone or anything. LOL!

That August concert line up looks really fine, don't miss Rodrigo and Gabriela, unbelievable style and take on nuevo flamenco. Metallica and Led Zep done in flamenco style is not soon forgotten.

Thanks for a fun two hours. They aren't paying you...enough!

Sorry to have missed the RMO show! Was preoccupied with not tossing my breakfast during hot room yoga.

Please tell me there is a show archive we can stream!!

+1 on Rodrigo y Gabriela.

Pretty much right along the border.
The Santo Tomas Valley below Ensenada has some incredible roads and wineries. Of course twisty mountain roads and wine tasting prolly don't go together so well.

Anyway, it's an easy scoot from my place east of Los Angeles, across the border at Tecate and down to Ensenada. It kind of reminds me of what the Temecula area looked liked with it's wineries, before the entire valley filled up with houses.

A very pretty ride in it's own right.

WTF is "hot room yoga"?

If it is, literally, yoga done in a hot room, why don't you just open a window?
If it is a new fangled slang phrase for sex, do it before breakfast.

This kind of stuff is dangerous! It led to the breakup of the Beatles!

It's all a mystery, like those "4 hour erections" the marketing departments worry you about and you haven't had since the senior prom.

It can lead to things like a "tantric oil change", where a job takes 10 times longer to complete than usual, yet results in the same stain and grin of satisfaction.

We are all getting older and it isn't like twisting your body into unnatural and undignified positions will result in you becoming like one of those senior citizens in "Cocoon" or something. Like the Rocky Mountain Oyster proved in Chiapas, it ain't the stylin' ride that will getcha into trouble, it's the dismount!

The yoga class is only 90 minutes so little chance of a 4 hour erection. But a room full of women retaining flatulence for 90 minutes of yoga all because of one male student? That's pretty much guaranteed.

Still a little further south, but Ronda is a must see. Roads to it are incredible as well.

The "New" bridge into town, it was built in 1751. The old bridge is over 700 years old.

Hey Trice, whilst Jota D is doing his bean fueled hot room thing, will you be visiting Toledo?
I've never been there, but it looks fascinating, maybe you can put up some pics if you visit.
As the Gallegos say, "Venga"!

When I was practicing Bikram Yoga in 1980 next to Raquel Welch I can guarantee you that she did not hold anything back... including the comment that semen was a very good facial treatment.

Thanks Mike Mike. I don't have a regular show now... just subbing... will post here when I am on the sched. again. The recording you asked about was Tabla Beat Science... an incredible "super group" that included Zakir Hussein on tablas... It was great to be back in the studio. I did a regular Monday AM from 6-9 for five years and got a little crispy... live radio requires paying attention but the accidents are not as painful or long lasting. I was going to play a different I Girls tune but when I looked at the jacket and saw the Knopfler cover I had to spin it. Knopfler and those two girls are among my favorite guitar players (the list is not short) Had to hear Hendrix and if I had had time would have played Popa Chubby's incredible Hendrix covers.

Schizz - keep up the yoga... best thing you can do to keep ridin whatever you choose to ride for years to come! preguntala mi chilena. (Yoga teacher and massage therapist)

Big +1 on Ronda. Oldest functioning bull ring in Spain. We got a room with a balcony overhanging the chasm and with a view of the new bridge. Touristy during the season but still worthwhile.

It's difficult for me to take time off from work, all set to join Pilot815 and RW66 on their ride and a tendon on a finger broke the evening before leaving.

Getting a shiny new metal rod inserted tomorrow to be removed in two months.

Barcelona babe pics from any inmates in the area might lift my spirits.
