Any time. The patio is a tranquil place in our tranquil little town.

Besides having to go across the street 3 times ti get xerix copies, everything was suoer smooth and easy.

Everybody was super nice and chill.

Glad that worked out. I would be interested in hearing about your shipping experience. Flights from Tijuana to Mexico City are very cheap ($230 return last I looked) so for someone time constrained staging a bike in Mexico City might be an attractive option. So cost, hassle, and time information on the shipping experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

Turns out you cant ship a bike with a TVIP contrary to what the shipper advised.

So now in a bind.....

Sorry to read that Amigo. Looks like you're blazing a trail for the rest of us.

Buena suerte.

I never get on anything with an "I." All of my rides to the border have been for the most part on state roads, some county, and some US Highway roads. As an example there is a really neat coastal route I take to Laredo from Houston, and I also use ALT 90 and 90 to get to Del Rio. No GPS either, just strip maps in the window of my tank bag.

Santo mierda!

Did they say why they could not? Did you check with other shippers?

I wonder if this applies only to vehicles being transported out of the tourist zone into mainland Mexico, or would this mean that if you were in an accident, and were flown home, that you could not have a third party ship the bike back to the US?

It seems if we're not on the interstate we're in the ditch.
