I have not used them myself, but got their contact info from a post on here.
No, on my way TO.

TJ to Mexicali 46 min
Mexicali to San Luis Rio Colorado 40 min
SLRC to Sonoyta 1hr 40 min (partial dirt roads)

Was hoping to find a place in Hermisillo to store the bike for a few days.

I will check with the shop. Thanks for that!

More later.

DK, Dr. Noriega is a riding buddy. He is a surgeon. It is not his shop but if he recommends it is good.

There is also a Honda shop on Vera Cruz or Nyarit. I've been in there but I don't know the people

Wicked Wow!

So a little update.....

We originally had a flight out if TJ at 1740.
Border crossing at Itay Mesa was a breeze and the people were ridiculously helpful.
Only idiosynchrosy was that they send you across the street to make xerix copies (although they have a copier behind the glass).
20 minutes, todo bien.
10 minutes later, we are at the Potosinos office.
We find out that they had made a mistake and they cant take any TVIP vehicles past the Hermosillo Aduana.
Now what?
Its an hour and a half before our flight time at this point.
Blast to the airport, look at other flights, make a plan.
Nothing usable out of TJ for a couple of days.

This is not looking good!

Other option: a flight 23 hours later out of Hermosillo, 600 miles away.
Its almost 6pm on monday at this point and we've list our flights.

No worries, we decide to blast down to Hermosillo and euther ship the bike, or find a few days storage.

Ar first we thiught about a hotel in TJ, but we are presseddor time, so we haul ass to Mexicali.
We arrive before nightfall after some incredibly windy mountain pass (with mach 3 cross winds).

Decided to leave Mexicali by 0500, woke up to discover a dead battery.
Why? It never had an issue before..
No, you cant push start a KTM LC8 with 2 people...

On the road finally just before 0730.

Arrive Hermosillo at 1350.

Found a local shipper who is 'in' with the Aduana, drop the bike, do paperwork, arrive at airport 1530.

Just made it.

Its beer 30 and my girlfriend is a friggin champ.

Good night.

Thanks for the well wishes....however I had 2 different people offer to rent me an apartment in Zacatecas today so I could move around a little bit...more of a moving target if you know what I mean one also gave me his credit card and told me to use it to get a hotel if I felt I needed to move around a little bit more......the good thing is I could have more room to house ADV riders that are passing through the area
Things are very fluid and will change in a few weeks....

More room for hosting Advriders. That sounds good. That was an interesting article you sent me. Hope the gentleman pulls through.

En Aquel Futuro

Like Hernan Cortes said on the beach at La Villa Rica de la Veracruz in front of Quiahuixtlan, "There's no going back now, boys, the future has arrived and we are it"!

Probably about right. The rice was dry and the salmon wasn't fresh. Worse sushi that I have ever had.

Hernan Cortes scuttled most of the ships but dismantled at least one and built a sailors quarters quarters that also doubled as a site for mass, making it an impromptu church. The site was easy to acess up until about 15 years ago and then people in La Villa Rica began isolating the area with fences and walls.
I took JD and Donnie to the town and the beach when they came through.
You can also ride portions of a couple of the "camino real" routes. Yes, you will pause and wonder how they did what they did!

If you've been to the pyramid in the picture, you are either over the age of 50 or have a few skeletons in your closet.
