I think they are. After all, there was an astronaut who drove from FL to TX without stopping once...

That would be a question for the Canadian or British Foreign Office.

She had mayhem on her mind and was definitely not safe. "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" or so I thought until you changed the name. The name change is a social engineering change for a matter of the heart. Heart is what Mexico is all about and clearly why Arte started this thread, just his name says where he is coming from. I am sorry that Baldy, who has truly given so much to all of us, feels the necessity to fold to the small minds who prompted his decision. These are the people who are destroying this great country that so many of us on this site served.

Someone suggested boycotting the site. I don't know what earthly good that would do. We need to support Baldy so that he will feel the strength not to accede to this blackmail. We need to root out the perpetrator and find an appropriate means to correct the situation. I believe that my first amendment rights have been violated and as a class the rights of all of us are being violated. We need to identify the individual involved and bring a class action suit for this violation of our collective rights.

Since when do motorcyclists, the pinnacle of the "Live Free or Die" spirit, bow to pussies like this whining wanker and his craven mouthpiece? Let's show some cajones here cabrones.

He can't. He's permabanned. And left the country. Kinda sorta.

Maybe the mods would be so kind as to let the OP rename the thread with something less AARP-ish.

You're kidding me, Schizz! The guy provokes a sht storm and then leaves.
If he is at the bar that the Blind Warrior speaks of, I hope it is in Key West and his bar stool is upside down.

Travelling in Mexico

Gentlemen, we're getting a bit off-topic here. I believe MikeMike was discussing my Travels in Mexico.

Like a cornfield or a fence post.

Some guys also have little traveling companions, a mascot. For example, Graham Field has "Monklet" who has been all over the world. AndyC is no slouch, he's got the "Guzzi Pirate".

Fun stuff.
Unless it starts talking to you like one of those ventriliquist dolls from a B movie!
I still get the heebie jeebies when I think of that movie that had a voodoo tribal doll that came to life and chased some chick around her apartment with a big knife back in the '70s.
So that's how I got those ant bites all over my head!

In my own d-fence, my helmet is normally parked on the right handlebar end. However, in the presence of the zen photo master, I was so focused on cribbing some tips, I didn't pay attention to where I parked my lid.

My riding buddy is a Christmas gift from my son and his girlfriend who, being short on cash, stitched up a custom buddy for everyone in the family. Though mine has been with me for the past two years, he's still wide-eyed at everything he sees. As long as no one begins sticking pins in him, we'll be Ok.

Now back to your regularly scheduled rants. Carry on, gentlemen.

AndyC, I'll bet you had a great ride yesterday back up through where we were.
Weather here in the port was awesome, my wife actually insisted I go for a ride.
You've got so much good Kharma banked, Andy, it gets shared by other people!

Maybe the powers that be have renamed the thread because they have now declared travel in Mexico to be safe. Therefore, the question no longer begs to be asked.

How's that for logic?

I did have a great ride, though not there. Manolo borrowed the Yamaha and we rode from Totutla, down the mountain towards Jalcomulco, but turned at the bottom and wound up in Xico, which is now a Pueblo Magico. The falls of Texolo are very impressive. Pictures will have to wait until I'm home. We had a tasty lunch at Restaurante El Campanario, una molcajete con costillas de cerdo.

Stopped by to check out the Hotel Hacienda Xico Inn, who's name sounds a bit redundant. In the process of leaving, a dog got just enough teeth into my left hamstring to let me know he could hurt me if he wanted to. When he started a second run, I got just enough boot sole on his nose to let him know the same.

I was tempted to pull over and tell him the story about the one I turned into dog chorizo about an hour south of Reynosa on my way home from SLP in June.

If I don't get by Victor's today, I'll stop by on my way to Mixquiahuala tomorrow.

As always, the pictures are great.

Andy, I will be forwarding the big picture files native size later today.
Well, I will start today, watch the mail.
I hope to meet up with Victor again and talk story with him.
He's had a rough go lately, he deserves better.

This is OUR thread.

If the name can be changed within Baldy's approval, how about a poll from regulars for the new name?

Suggestions?

Please don't let me rename it "Viva México Cabrones!"
