Two months ago, I rode down the Baja by myself, took the ferry over to the mainland and then rode back to Presidio, Tx through Chihuahua. I barely escaped dying a miserable death due to cardio vascular disease and a diseased liver.

I liked that manta that carried the line "Somos Hasta la Madre" that was featured on the front page of a few dailies.

Getting rid of the narcos is half the job, the other half is to get rid of the politicians. And maybe Lopez Doriega because he puts me to sleep and Chavelo because he sounds like Geddy Lee sings. I am anxiously awaiting Lyn May's book to come out!

Glad to hear you made it back.

I, too, was offered the opportunity to contract various diseases while in Mazatlan.

I declined the offer.

You mean you rode through Mexico without using a Pemex bathroom?
I swear they should offer an inoculation for those.

Well, it was a HOG chapter ride, after all

Well, I'm so freaking bored here in Mexico City, that I'm gonna head up to Matamoros friday to check out Saturday and Sunday El Mercado de Pulgas on el Niño Perdido, just for fun......and riding back sunday afternoon, if anyone here in Mexico City wants to tag along, or any ADVer near matamoros that wants to ride back to Mexico City....here's your chance to tag along someone who doesn't watch the news and it's extremely naive about the current situation

If only y'all knew how funny that really is. (Maybe you do)

I told the guys if they rode any slower I was gonna start setting up orange cones.

They laughed.

Kinda.

Maybe now they'll quit asking me to become a Road Captain.

The tequila never comes out before 5PM ... unless there are friends visiting.

God, that brings back some nasty memories. Somewhere outside Matamoros in 2006 we found a Pemex that had been trashed by a hurricane. Every window was blown out. There was nothing in the station except that they were pumping gas and 2 old men had set up a card table to collect something enormous like 5 pesos to use the pisser, which was incredibly nasty because there was no running water.

I would have gone outside but there was a cop in the parking lot and I figured that he was getting a cut of the fine if anyone pissed in public.

Someplace between Matamoros and San Fernando ... hopefully they have rebuilt the place by now:

Hey guys just got back from San Antonio picked up a new to her scoot for the wife. A nice little ninja 250 to learn on.

Trice, it wasnt the one that i had contacted you about, this one was much nicer, cheaper, and didnt have paperwork issues. Thanks again for the offer.

Dont sweat it about the comments. Just passing on some info that was relayed to me about a route that we had previously been discussing.

Now on to the rest of the Mex discussion....

They did!
They now charge $8 pesos and bought a new card table. Progress in the nation's sole fuel provider is measured in leaps and bounds and they are always thinking of YOU the customer!
