Bato is a frequent poster here and is a native of Mexico, now living in Kerrville, Texas..

Both he and Bernadette have been to my house many times.

There will be a memorial service at St. Luke's at 410 & Callahan in San Antonio tomorrow at 10 AM.

Schizzman and I will be there for him.

Life is short. Cherish every moment.
I haven't yet met any of you guys, but I've followed a lot of your entertaining banter including Bato. My condolences Mr Bato

Very sorry for your loss Bato! Stay strong, but let the emotions run their course. Nothing is going to replace your loss, but keep your thoughts on the great life and marriage that you shared. I continue to struggle with my own loss and can truly understand the emptiness that is brought on by such an event. If you want to talk some time, just let me know!

Sad news to wake up to. My condolences Bato. I got to meet and talk to my paisano a bit at Trice's last summer.

Raul "Bato" expresses to all his friends on this thread and elsewhere on ADV and his appreciation for the expression of love and support during this time of the loss of his wife Bernadette.

The memorial service this morning at 10 am at St. Luke's Parish in San Antonio was moving and heartfelt. Many friends of the family shared a time of remembrance afterward at a reception.

The memorial service for Bato's wife was very nice with beautiful music and comforting words. It was good to see family and friends come together to remember Bernadette and to support one another.

There will be a half worn Mefo Explorer (130/70-17) in Oaxaca on Sunday evening if you are interested. According to the owner of said tire, there is most likely 2000-3000 miles remaining.

Where are you now? I am in McAllen, crossing in the morning and headed for Xilitla if I make it that far. Depends on how much 'splorin I do and how many tocos I stop for... I will be in Oaxaca by Sunday evening as well. Maybe we can hook up somewhere for a beer.
