I heard a saying a few months ago I had not heard before, "Ganale a el PRI". This is to be said when you are having an argument/debate with someone, especially if the other person is immovable.

Great day for a ride yesterday, only about 10% of the normal traffic with everyone only going out to vote and then heading home to hide out.
There are storm clouds on the horizon.

I did find a nice replacement for the now shuttered and closed "La Diosa" outside of Angel R. Cabada. This one is called "Bar Machero" and pics will follow. Bar Machero is over the state line in Puebla.

Meaning it looks like rain in Vera Cruz, Obrador won't concede (again), or the PRI is winning elections the old-fashioned way?

The winner says immediately that he and the PRI won't take sides in the cartel wars but most feel that they (PRI) were once in cahoots with the established cartels and the message seems to be clear that the populace wants the fighting to stop.

Thoughts and predictions as it relates to travelers?

In 2006 PRI paid about 300 pesos/vote in my area, this time they paid 1000 pesos/vote. In other areas of Mexico they painted houses for votes. With elections, the Mexicans say "only the colors change". This time from blue (PAN) to Red/Green/White (PRI).

They may say that, but obviously they don't believe it. Otherwise there wouldn't be so much passion.
