As long as you're OK Bato, the rest can be fixed with wrenches, hammers and paint.

I see it happened on San Pedro - isn't he the patron saint of driving safety?

Got the GSA back Sat afternoon (thanks Lone Star BMW!) and Carla fixed me a plate since I couldn't stay for Mike Goff's 30 year celebration. Mike was keeping my MotoGuzzi and BMW running sharp 30 years ago!! Congrats, Mike!!

So I wolfed down Carla's Deviled Eggs and Swedish Meatballs (thanks Carla!) then off to Dallas to take Mom to dinner for her 79th BD.

Sunday morning Donnie met me (and Mom) at Mom's place. He passed inspection so we were cleared to ride México. Thanks Mom!

Met SlowOldGuy and ShadySmurf in Glen Rose where SOG proceeded to augment my very basic routing with numerous excellent roads that led to Uvalde where we ended the day. Outrageously good time on the bikes and good company off them. Thanks guys!

Donnie and I crossed at Pedras Negras, got our papers in Allende and made Saltillo by 1730 taking the libre all the way. Actually led Donnie down a road he'd never ridden (57 libre through Cañada Ancha) which is quite an accomplishment given his riding experience here. Maybe a repeat tomorrow.

Some ruins on 57 libre.

Staying at Hacienda Morillo tonight. Neat old place.

And, of course.......

Tomorrow we're riding towards Galeana then turning south to Dr. Arroyo.

Any status reports on this route?

El Morillo. Hey! Did I make that place famous or what? My favorite place to stay in Saltillo.

You should try Parras de La Fuente if you have the time. It's only about 100 miles to the west. Or is it 100 km? The hotel to stay there is El Farol. Check out the Casa Madero vineyards. First vineyards in the new world started by Jesuit monks. Also the town where The Wild Bunch was filmed.

Heard there is a permanent soldiers check Point after Monclova going south and that it takes an hour and half to get thru
Did you took that route?

A little off topic, sorry ShizzMan, but does anyone know if the highway along the southern mexican coast, particularly from acapulco to puerto escondido, goes through? Or do you have to go north from acapulco to say pueblo, to get to oaxaca? It's a possible route and my maps are, disagreeing.

Schizz. I don't know which way you are coming to Galeana. When the nephews and I went to Galeana we went to Rayones from Montemorelos by a pretty incredible twisty road , no traffic, just miles and miles of hoot and holler desolate fun. And then rode south to Galeana. IIRC that last section was a Class 1 dirt road. Y'all have big fun wherever you go.
