I like to poke Sjoerd when I can.

He's forgotten more about Mexico than most here (including me) will discover in a lifetime

Winnepeg: there's a city you can be out at 2 am with money falling out of your pockets and nobody will bother you.

From October to April that is.

Helps keep the Texans out of our fine northern states...

We are the last line of defense (defence?) between them and Canada.

You owe us, Sjoerd.

I wonder what $1,000 worth of Tim Horton's stock bought in the early 70's would be worth today........

That said, never been to a Tim Horton's, but I read that there are more of those in Canada than McDonald's.

There's one only 20 miles (err 3330 kilometers or something like that) from me!

I'm going to get some doughnuts, eh.

I've heard is that Timmy's is like Starbucks here: they'll put them on opposite corners at an intersection.

Timmy's is/was owned by what is/was Wendy's out of Columbus Ohio.

I just spent a few months working in Labrador City, Newfoundland. Tim Horton's is more like a religion in Canada than just a doughnut shop. The lines of people waiting 24/7 were incredible.
