Hope to see you down there.

Arte and Andres, should I head to La Esperanza on Friday, October 12? I was thinking of arriving around 10am or so, along with the Mystery Rider if he can make it. If not, maybe the Saturday or Sunday. Which day is best for you guys?
I won't be participating in the rally itself, but I'll be making a donation to the school.
What timeframe works for you guys for a meet up?
From past experience I know I can always find someone in La Esperanza to go wake up Andres! ha,ha!

US Insurance for Mexican Drivers

Hi!

Normally the questions here involving insurance are for insurance while in Mexico, this one is the other way around. Hector purchased a truck to take back to Mexico and would like to purchase US Liability Insurance only for the short time while he is driving in the US. Is there any place that specializes in such insurance? Thanks!

Donnie

Bear Scat

Trice,
You talking about how you tell the difference between brown bear (Grizzly) scat and black bear (Oso negro) scat? It really is a risk assessment question. Hikers were once encouraged to walk in Grizzly country wearing bells and carrying pepper spray the results of which, it was said, could be found in Grizzly scat...is Montana safe?

Camping in Glacier NP, they have steel bear proof boxes to store your food at night. Screw that, leave the food in the tent, I'm sleeping in the box.

Man takes his family to Canada but is worried about bears when they hike.

So he asks about guns etc. and is told that bear repellent is the ideal thing. Guns not allowed.

Soon after he crosses he finds a place selling bear repellent.

No lie - he lines up his family in the parking lot and tries to hose them down with the "repellent"

No Bears on Sonora Hwy 20 between Hermosillo and Sahuaripa. Lots of great riding, bad pavement notwithstanding.

The conflicting "curve signs" is another nice touch

I bet there's a bear or three in the Sierra around that point. Remote and a nice riding area, in fall, spring, or winter that is.
