Is it waterproof? ;) you might want to pick up a pair of swim fins and a snorkel too if you plan to ride through Xalapa any time soon!

That is a nice photo. I do see the chainsaw. I doesnt look like much fun to lug around. I'll wait for someone else to clear the road.

Thanks, it looks like fun and I see some gnarley terrain. But, come on, no backpacks full of tools, gear, and spare parts, no extra gas cans, helicopters, pit crew and doctors standing by. Possibly some bears, but no AKs. Where's the adventure?

Ditty Bag

Mike Mike,

That looks like a useful little bag. The belt loop and D ring might be useful for off moto wandering. Home Depot sells a variety of little zipper bags that I use for holding various gear, don't know if you have access to one of the stores but you can order lots of stuff on line. The price on that one sure is right and the padding might be useful for cameras and stuff.

Thanks, I think I'll have a closer look at those bags. The Home Depot here is basically the same Steren etc... Chinese crap they sell at Wal-Mart, Soriana, Commerical Mexicana, Chedrahui, etc....real disappointment. However, AutoZone is surprisingly good, and the boys from the Carrera Panamericana were doing some work on a big block Chevy in an old 55 "shoebox". Yes, I forgot my cel and I couldn't snap a pic (insert a well placed and said "joder" aqui). The guys at the AutoZone at least try to help you out and let you know when new stock is arriving, some stuff always sells out fast. Like the little stubby 3/8's drive ratchets with a very good and fine degree of swing drive for around $80 pesos.

CraneGuy, next time I go through Xalapa in the rain, I am going to strip down to a Borat style swim suit singlet and tie a strobe light to my helmet.
That should help a little with the visibility issues.
Those Xalapenos can probably manage some more psychological scarring than what they presently carry. Maybe that senorita reporter will engage me in meaningful conversation, again. LOL!

Hi Viz, baby, that's how we roll.
These are the things you see in the Euro version of the Motorrad catalog.

Bato, are you going to part out the bike?
If so, I am interested in a couple of pieces that survived.
So what are you going to buy next?
The new F700 has traction control. Sorry, couldn't resist that one!
Good to hear you got the pay out!
