OK, The Truth
Actually, even though the wife loves Mexico too. She is shying away from a ride down there. She would like to go beach crawling from Mexico Beach, FL to Key West and maybe back up the eastern seaboard. I myself, am anxious to ride in MX or further anytime after the first of the year...

Cuotas
Cuotas between Nuevo Casas Grandes and Chihuahua were all half the posted auto/moto price. I was worried about getting through Chihuahua easily. It was very easy. Coming in from the North you just follow the signs for Mexico and stay on the Ruta Paysano... it takes you on the outskirts of town down the east side towards the airport. It was quite well marked with not much traffic. It was Sunday so I can't speak to the weekday situation.

This seems to be one of those "only in Mexico" things... A guy in a clown suit offering commentary on the Connecticut school shootings...

That is Brozo, one of the most respected Mexican journalists who has a morning program and specializes in anti- corruption exposes. Massive set of cojones, makes the peckerwoods on MSNBC or CNN look like amateurs.
He sometimes appears on journalist roundtable programs dressed normally. He is a genius, as opposed to the USA where the guy in the clownsuit runs the country. LOL! |

This goes back to the time when only fools could get away with telling the king the truth without fear of being beheaded,

Four women kiiled on the road between Creel and Guachochi, in the Copper Canyon area, apparently for their car. Be informed and make your own decisions:
http://www.borderlandbeat.com/2012/1...thers-and.html This happened on a very well traveled road.

None of us have said this doesn't happen, but the telling part is that they resisted. Everyone else made it through poorer, but alive.
Very sad, but you have to wonder if the outcome would have been different if they had just handed over the keys. I wouldn't consider the risk of leaving my daughter fatherless for what would be a pointless show of defiance.
