Yes, it's true. We residents live in constant fear of the Topecabra.

I have tried to slay the Topecabra by hitting them with both my bike and the Suburban at 50 mph. They are tough and I failed as they seem undaunted. I have given up on that method and will need another approach.

The website lies. It was after noon when I went by there. I may take another swing at it tonight. My wife is holed up in the hotel room. I think she had a bad piece of lettuce on a sandwich yesterday. Sick all night, in bed all day today, but feeling better now. I'm on my own for dinner.

Last week I was at Don Pedro's in Sayulita, just up the road. Go there if you can.

Spent 4 hours flicking the bike from side to side , rattling up and down through the 1 st four gears. These roads are some of the best I have ever been on! A bit of wet mud in a few corners may have caused an " unsafe " condition : Mex 85 come on........

They only had two microbrews available as they dumped the others down the drain when they didn't meet expectations. The had an IPA and some kind of Serrano Chile lager. I am not a fan of IPA's so I can't address that one. I did sample the Serrano Chile stuff and it wasn't bad. I couldn't drink a whole glass of it, though. I am not really a fan of microbreweries in general as I think they screw up most beer. They say that next week they hope to have some of their other beers ready. I'll go by and see. It is a nice little bar with a restaurant upstairs. Service was friendly and prompt.

Go check out El Sotano de las Golondrinas and Xilitla. I stayed at the Posada El Castillo and loved it. Expensive though. Have fun Carrie.
