I was wondering if anyone had ever cancelled their TVIP and then immediately gotten another one? Mine is expiring 4/10 and I was thinking about a little ride down and didn't want to have to be back on that day. Thanks, Jim

I have and I haven't. It all depends on the clerk behind the counter and what he or she wants to do that day.

That's an interesting point to consider since it was still open as far as acquiring a new permit was concerned while not being current for the bike to operate in Mexico. Only difference I could tell from my conversation at the caseta was the forfeiture of the deposit.

I'm carrying current papers now. Maybe a little Border Run is called for. Stop at Allende on the return leg and give it a try. Just for grits and shins.

Meet Sam

Sam lives in Kyle and raced off road. And he's probably Texas' leading expert on the KTM.

Sam mapped out a plan for final upgrades to my KTM for Baja. On Saturday we're going to regear it (again), different chain, grease the steering head and swing arm, reposition the brake and clutch levers, check the suspension, and prep for order of a stator upgrade and installation of a Baja Designs massive lighting upgrade. Motorcycle Superstore is shipping the Dunlop front and a mousse insert for it.

Dude, aren't you afraid of getting Hanta virus!!??
Go with the silicone inserts, you can find them almost anywhere here.
Stuffing all those little mousses in there is kind of cruel.
