[Honda CB500X] Installing Honda OEM Centerstand

Installing Honda OEM Centerstand

The centerstand install was fairly simple.
- Spray some soap on the rubber stopper pad to force it through to its new home on the centerstand leg.

- Grease up the slider pin, slide it in without the stand to spread the grease, and then attach the stand with some more grease. Wipe off excess grease to avoid a huge mess.

- Use a large #3 flat head screwdriver to slip the spring on. It takes some patience but it's very easy once you get it. Youtube has some videos that give a good overview of this method. The idea is to leverage the spring with the screwedriver off of the spring mount and then slid it down the screwdriver into place with the centerstand in the upright position.

Extremely happy with the outcome! Fantastic little upgrade. The bike should come with this.

A #3 Phillips screw driver works with much less hassle.
