60Csx Which map R&R or Topo.

I have a 60csx and I hoping someone could good give me some guidance on which map is needed. I am riding mostly in Alabama and florida both national parks and eglin airforce base. Can anyone tell me if there is one map that would be best for mostly riding in the woods and some street riding. From what i have seen the topo is hard to read on the 60 because of the detail. R&R maybe the way to go. Thanks for any help.

I use the free maps (legal) from GPSfiledepot.com. They are high quality 24,000:1 maps similar to the Topo maps you buy. I'd give one a try before buying anything.

I have both on PC and in GPS but seldem use topo in GPS because of all the lines. However east of the rockys there are no elevation lines!

Yes I think there is a thread about it.

Use the map select tool (polygon) to select the maps sections you want.
Change the map set from first map (R & R) to second set (topo).
Use the map select tool (polygon) to select the maps sections you want.
Save the file for future use.
Click download and wait. It will download both R&R & topo.
The map download will erase what ever maps you had in GPS.

When I tried to install it said I did not have a previous mapsource installed and installation would terminate. Do you have any idea why?
thanks
