And a lovely good evening. Other Rick dropped over with the new parts. Beautiful! Only a little question. Used 2 of the 4 larger rubberized clamps to attempt to install the front cover. Did not have enough cover to attach said cover to the existing skid plate. I am sure I am missing something. Perhaps you could enlighten me. Thanks, Glenn.

Hi Rick,

I got my skid plate and front cover last week and put them on over the weekend. Great quality and the front plate and center stand cat protector combined were barely more $$ than the cheap plastic "fenda extenda" I was considering. Thanks for a couple of great products and excellent service. I hoping to be throwing some Maine rocks and mud at them real soon!

MC Cover

Just received a master cylinder cover for my 1150 ADV.
Can't say enough about the service given by Rick.
The part was well designed and the price was more than reasonable.
Rick insisted that I send no money until the part landed at my door and I was able to check the fit.

I normally can't leave things alone and in this case I decided to cheese-hole the plate. Please note that the holes in the next picture were made by me and not something that Rick does. Thanks for a great product Rick. Fite

Part as received from Kildala

Same part after slight modification.
I figured that with all the weight saved with those holes......
I could eat one more donut!

Looks great and I really don't know why you did that but it does look cool. Thanks for the support.
Rick

Rick.... might be a "meerican" thing.
Like I said... can't leave things alone!
I kinda like the "racer" look!

OBTW..... go ahead and crush my artistic creativity.
Suppress my sense of hidden genius.
Give me all the s#%t you want to about "bastardizing" an original Kildala masterpiece. No really..... keep it coming.
I can take it... makes me stronger and besides.... I kept all the material that made those holes.
No worries, they'll plug right back in.

Thanks again Rickster.

Nothin lighter than a hole eh Fite?

Rick, see what we have to put up with during the long Alaskan winters? He fiddles with EVERYTHING! Trouble is......Fites fiddlin always ends up producing that "one-off" look and enhanced functionality. PM me with a quote for the mud guards for my 1200ADV, thanks!

Oh yeah....the Donut thing.....the rest of the Pterodactyls are keeping Fite on a strict diet of herbs and spices only,.... no meat, no potatoes. Just our way of taking care of our buddy and keeping him from drilling something mechanically vital.

hope you can see the detail of the punishment the plate took. Had the GS on some steep rocky trails. Plate performed great. I am impressed

Got my goodies today! Too bad I was out buying new stuff for the other bike. They look great laid up against where they belong. Tomorrow afternoon, the wrenches come out.
