Ft. Davis and points west

Thursday morning I'm heading west on highway 90 from San Antonio. First stop will be Ft, Davis. After that I dont know. Just fed up with work.

I ride a BMW R1100S, it has a tiny tank. I really need a GS. Del Rio to Sanderson will be stretch I think.

Sounds like a good time. Should be a nice weekend.

Have you looked at any RotoPax fuel cans, Soto bottles for extra fuel?

You may be able to use http://www.gasbuddy.com/Trip_Calculator.aspx
to plan fuel stops. Dunno what happens if a leg doesn't have any stations, though.

Sounds fun.

I'm planning a trip from San Antonio (home) to Big Bend on the second week of December. I too am just fed up with work and need some time on the saddle. I'm planning on taking 90 and then heading to Terlingua. I'll spend a couple of days riding around--including a trip to Presidio and Hojinaga for some good Mexican food. My fuel situation a bit better as I ride an S10 and can comfortably go about 200 miles.

Have fun!

You can sometimes get fuel at Comstock... the one fueling point is just across from the Border Patrol Station.

Sanderson is about 90 miles further west...
