Nate that first overlook, at Treat Road. That looks like the big Piney Overlook.
Glad you all made it out safe and had a good time.
BTW I thought you was going in a 4x4 not a station wagon.
Might be a good thing you didn't cross over to 21.

BTW from Treat Road you could've went north and come out up there by Fort Douglas.
Last time I was on it, they was grading the heck out of it. It was like riding marbles.

Nice pics of the waterfalls. Looks like a nice family outing. All that was missing was a golden retriever, and could of been a disney movie.

Seth's ride report

Well, here's the boy's ride report from our Mt. Magazine-Fayetteville-Oark trip of 3/31-04/01. Took him a few days and some details are sparse, but here we go.

As soon as we started to leave home, a UPS man showed up. Got a package as usual, then we started the trip to Mt. Magazine. We were low on gas, so we stopped at the gas station. We got gas, then I said, “I’m hungry, let’s eat. Then we got pizza and 7up. Then we left and we kept going non-stop! We saw lots and lots of barns and lots and lots of motorcycles. Then we were going up the mountain and I saw some caves, one huge one and a couple of little ones. Then we went down the mountain to Fayetteville. I was hurting but I got used to it. Then we finally got there and we knocked on the door. No one answered, so we went down to the studio across the street. When we got there I saw Uncle Zac and Aunt Rachel and baby Violet. They were working, so I said “Let’s go look at the sculpture garden”. we looked at it for a while, then me and my dad went to Sonic. We ate, then we went to Rachel’s. When we got there, I said “I’m bored”, so we played racquetball. My dad hit me with the ball three times and he hit it to the second floor. Then we got finished. It was dark but Rachel and Zack were still working. Then my dad said “Let’s get a hotel”, so we drove to the hotel. We got a room, we watched a movie, then we went to sleep. We woke up and went to McDonalds. We ate, then we left and we kept going! Then we were at a construction site and we saw two guys pull up on dirt bikes. And they said “Are you going to Oark?” My dad said “Yes”. Then they said “See you there”. Then we drove to a little place called Oark. We got gas at a gas station\restaurant. Me and my dad got sprite and coffee, and the two guys ate breakfast. Then I got donuts. Then the two guys took some pictures. Then we left. We took the back roads. Then we stopped one more time, then hit the highway. Then we never ever stopped, we just kept going! And I was hurting, then we finally got home.

Great Report Seth!

Seth, thanks for your report! It is a good one too! Glad you took the time to share your trip experience with all of us on ADV. Sounds like you got to see a lot of interesting places and even visit some relatives. Enjoying time with your Dad had to be a lot of fun, especially doing it all on a really cool Triumph bike! Again thanks for the great report

Hope to see you again some time.

Seth says "Thanks" and he would like to keep on riding but right now there's no more gas in the gas can and ol' dad needs to take him to get some.

Thanks, Charlie.

Seth says that he did have fun except for getting hit by a racquetball. And he says thank you, 10cup.

That's Seth. Concise unless he's talking about Legos.

He says "thanks" Elvis.

Well done Seth. Good report and we need to know when you are hurting so it is good to add that in because we forget to ask sometimes. Write more reports as you get to go for more rides. You write better reports than some of the adults.... Bawahahaha

Good job.....

Seth says thanks and think he is surprised that y'all like his report so much. He thought it was a good idea about telling your driver that you're hurting. I guess he's just too tough haha.

Just the pictures......

I went to the HillBilly gathering.

I fell down.

Doc Lewall was good to me and took my under his goat smelling arm.

I fell down.

Doc was our fearless leader.

He lead us to neat places ---- with rain....

He lead us to places that I swear do not exist.....

He lead us until we were better at dirt riding than when we started.

We got dirty & wet. Is that necessary?

We got tired. Is that necessary?

He showed us the ability to take a mechanical breakdown & turn it into an adventure. And on we rode.....

I am alive.... (Just sorta, I'll know more when I stop hurting...) So all was great for me.

Lots of fun ::::::

The picture is a link to the album of pictures, click the picture to enjoy.
