everything's a trade off. Power vs Fuel Economy

Yes but the 2.8 V6 gets crappy fuel economy. Mine never got better than about 16 mpg and that is highway, at steady state, unladen, and in great mechanical condition.

This is exactly what I am planning now. A tear drop with room for a family of 4 and a landing up front for either my big bike, two dirt bikes, or a family of mountain bikes.

I was thinking about doing a dropped ceiling so that the lid of the pop-up is flush with what would be the natural top, then using the single hing VW Westfalia style pop-up.

But very sweet. Any info on tongue weight? Seems like it should be light given how much is back of the axle.

It would be pretty easy to put in a mildly tuned 305 / 350 EFI that would get an easy 16 mpg in that unit. Then you could easily pull a small enclosed trailer.

Ooops didn't see the previous posts.

Anyone have any idea what this is?

Beyond the obvious (a shell with a poptop).

Saw it in traffic today but it didn't have a single logo or decal or anything on it.

I do not have a tongue weight yet. With the toy on the front the tongue will not be light but with the toy off it could be a problem. This is why I did not put the galley in the back as in most teardrop style campers to cut down on the rear weight . My galley is contained in an aluminum tool box and can be moved around to better equalize the weight. When the toy is not on the front it will be hauled on the platform. When the toy are on it will be hauled on a 2 receiver hitch carry all or it will slide in the side door. The pic shows it on the tongue , it will not be carried there . The box is still along way form done.
