CS is too easy to get to, and you have Wings there and I have relatives there. Can't you move to the PNW or NE so I won't be so tempted.

You can ask Wings about this trailer, she's seen it up close and personal.

PM on it's way.

Let's see how it works in action.

It works well, we've had it out about 6 times this summer. Just used it this weekend in Taylor Park.
The only reason I'm selling it is because it's hard to get a 100lb bullmastiff up a ladder and she doesn't like sleeping in the van.

This weekend:

That's a nice setup Region.

Is that the back half of a '67-'72 GM truck? How's the stability when you're all up in the tent?

It's the back half of a Land Rover Discovery I. With the wheels chocks and the high lift jack in place it's really solid.

I've had a Chalet Arrowhead folding trailer since 2003 and before that I had a Coleman Taos popup.

The popup definitely gives the most bang for the buck but requires more work to setup/takedown and you have to make sure the canvas is dry before storing it. The canvas also isn't as secure as a hardsided folding trailer.

The Chalet has a refrig, 16k btu furnace, & water heater and has been trouble free in the 7 years I've had it. The walls & roof are rated R7 insulation and the windows are high quality glass with reflective coating. The Arrowhead floorplan has a couch/bed on one end and a dinette on the other and feels very open with the big picture windows and high pitched roof. I can set it up in about 30 seconds, so it's easy to pull over and have lunch or take a nap when I'm on the road. Fully loaded with full water tanks (23g total), full dual propane tanks (40lbs propane), full refrig, supplies, and gear it weighs 2020lbs. I tow it with a Ford Ranger - 3.0L v6 & auto and average ~19.5 mpg @ 65mph. I think the Chalet is well made and will comfortably accommodate 1-2 people.

My favorite feature is the big picture windows especially on the galley (street) side.

I"ve taken it to Mexico several times but usually spend long weekends boondocking in the mountains. It has leaf spring suspension and pretty good ground clearance. The frame is sturdy box tube construction.

This looks kinda neat, but I'm not sure I'd trust it not to leak.

Watching him put that little floppy thing up reminded me of two things:

1. The guy on the Aerostitch website who puts on his Roadcrafter in 10 seconds.....

2. The [stupid, IMHO] Folding Dishes for backpacking....

he clearly has plenty of practice doing this - I wonder how two women weighting 120 lb's being 5'-3" tall would do.

As with any fold/pop up/out camper thingie it looks great on a level parking lot. Envision an uneven rocky camp site at night in a driving rain and it suddenly isn't so simple, dry or stable.

A lot of ingenuity there, but it's really just a glorified cardboard box. IMO he'd be better off investing in a quality cabin tent, for the same end result.
