Just cuz I'm from California, doesn't mean I eat that stuff! Sushi? Yes! Artichokes? Yes! Tofu? WTF? In truth, since the roads in Texas don't even deserve to stand in California's shadow, a good ride HAS to have a good meal at the end, or the middle, otherwise it's just a road.

Speaking of catfish

Crazy Catfish - 2 locations in Garland, TX - is a little hole in the wall diner with terrific cornmeal battered catfish. And the price is great, too.

BBQ in Texas or catfish in Bama, tough choice. There is a place on the Tom Bigbee river east of Butler that has great catfish and hush puppies. I don't remember its name?

McGeehee's Catfish

Is McGeehee's catfish farm / restaurant still in business in Oklahoma? We used to fly there from Fort Worth and land on their grass runway. Very good as I remember. Of course, that was 30 years ago!!!!!!!

Rolandos Fajitas outside the Home Depot in Cleburne. I said Burritos but meant Fajitas. Check em out. Burritos are good also, though.

The Center Restaurant on Hwy 82 in Muenster, Tx.

If you go on a Sunday, you'd better get there before church lets out, or you'll be standing outside...
