I think this was a case of extreme over exuberance by the police. Sure there are knuckleheads everywhere, but it looked like in the reports I read that the cops over-reacted. This 22 year old student wasn't posing a great threat to the security of the city. The added police presence can exacerbate situations almost like a challenge to the crowd.

If anything the Mayor should try to have fans focus on the positive rather than chide them for acts that haven't been comitted.

Better yet, let's go trash St. Louis.

Yes- and NONE of the graduates stay in the area either, right? Let me tell you- the quality of education in New England is FAR higher than FL- and I've lived in both areas and dealt with the public in both areas. You're speaking out of your ass. Check the SAT stats- I think you'll find there's quite a gap in the quality of education in the Northeast versus your little corner of redneckville. Name ONE world class educational institution in Florida, please.

So why is it that University of Miami, University of Florida and to a lesser degree, Florida State University have such a large amount of northerners attending? Especially since out of state tuition would be about 4 times what it would be to attend SUNY Ferdonia?
