I've got a '00 Civic VP sedan with about 170K mostly-city miles on it. I bought it used for $5K with 85K miles on it, abused to hell by the previous 3 owners (related friends). It hasn't needed anything that isn't considered a "consumable", unless it was vandalism or collision damage. The vandalism, collision damage, and consumabes were still rather affordable ($30 mirror, $35 taillight), and most components were the easiest to replace of any vehicle I've ever worked on. Excepting the recent PCV valve that is on the backside of the engine, above the oil filter and below the intake manifold, many components are surprisingly easy to service/repair/replace.

The unibody itself feels like it's made out of foil, but how else do you get both 35MPG and "adequate" power out of a 107HP 1.6L SOHC without VTEC? This car pulls well even at 8K+ feet, which is more than I can say for my buddy's 4.0L Jeep Rubicon that can't even maintain the speed limit going West of Denver.

My only real gripes with the car are the rear drums and the interference engine. Other than that, it's a relative marvel of engineering compared to the other crap I've seen on the market.

I had Venture Royale, and it felt easily 300 lbs heavier than the PC.

I've never seen an XX in Blue. Nice. MY first 3 bikes were Honda's. 550, 650 and 700 Nighthawks. Reading the article on the new VFR, looks very nice. May have to swing by the Honda shop and have a look see.

Really? It's a common colour here, and the one that shows the bike off best, in my opinion.

These bikes are such incredible value now. I bought mine - a one-owner, 2000, every receipt and stamp, under 20k miles bike, for less than £3000 GBP (about, what, $4500?), rode it all over Europe and sold it a year later for the same money. Dang, I want another.

Mine ran fine. Just did a lousy job of cutting the grass, compared to a Toro. Note that my grass is really thick and grows about an inch an hour.
