Boy, talk about a Honda that everybody loves. I wonder how many were produced?
I saw this documentary where they stated that Honda had produced, since its inception, about 40 million of them...Charlie Boorman tries to destroy one, fills it with cooking oil and takes it on a rally around the streets...then throws it 22m to the ground off a building....still works...

Rumormill: Honda to build road-going HSV-010 next year, pigs to take flight in 2012

Straight out of the Snowball's Chance and Swine Aeronautics department comes a report from Autobild that says the Honda HSV-010 is headed for production next year.

Why are we so skeptical? Aside from the fact that taking the HSV from the tracks of Japan to the streets of tomorrow would be a task of epic proportions, the last time we talked about the GT500 racer with Honda's high performance team they began tearing up about the NSX successor's stillborn status.

Regardless, ze German rag reports that the HSV-010 will undergo a slight makeover in the transition from race car to road car, with a slightly narrower track, more sculpted sides and the removal of the Cessna-sized rear wing.

A V8 will supposedly still be nestled up front, but instead of the SuperGT car's 3.4-liter V8, a 500+ horsepower 5.0-liter will take its place.

So, is the Lexus LFA finally going to get a worthy competitor from it's cross-town rivals? We'll continue our regularly scheduled breathing regime until we get an official word from Honda, but the possibility of an NSX revival – for real this time – has us panting a little bit harder.

I had the 90 Civic before a camera and for only a 2 or 3 months as a second car when I was 17 so no pics of that one sadly. I loved the thing though, no carpet, and I literally would tear it down and build it back up again, not caring if I fucked up . My friend needed a car though and my Nissan needed some work so that one went away.

Next I got a 2000 Civic coupe which has been through a lot with me:

Then came my 1st bike, a 1997 CBR600F3

Back at my dorm there was a lot of Honda love.

We never got the F2/hurricane on campus together for a shot, that would have been great.

Also I gave lots of girls their first ride on it:

Then came the last Honda I bought:

Back to the Civic though, it has 141,000 miles on it. I just replaced the brakes/rotors and had the whole thing looked over, and mechanically it is perfect, even running strong on the original clutch. Now only if I could find where the leak is into the trunk the car could last me another 100k.

We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating; the GS handles in ways a two-story building was never meant to.

My first touring rig, back in the day when you rode whatever the hell you owned. I loved that bike and only sold it when Norton dropped their prices by half.

This was my ride while I was in Nursing school and living on noodles. I couldn't afford repairs and it never needed any.

I have a 1997 Acura integra that I bought with 17,000 kms on it in 1998. Today the car has almost half a million kms on it. Original motor, trans and whatnot. The original clutch got changed last winter when the throwout bearing went. Still had meat on the disc. I'm trying to get a million k out of it. My favourite car I've had to this point.

My bike is a 1984 Honda Nighthawk 450. I bought it five years ago for a grand. Still runs like a champ and has about 70, 000 kms on it. Honda makes good stuff.

2001 Honda Accord EX... man do I miss that car

Had a 5spd trans, and it did NOT get driven kindly... Power everything, including the sunroof. Nicest car I've ever owned, but I traded it in on a Ranger when I bought my house. Biggest. Mistake. Ever.

The last Honda I loved was the first Honda I loved - my 1973 Mini Trail 50. I didn't love it because it was a Honda. I loved it because it was my first mini-bike, something quite substantial for a 7 year old.

I've owned many Hondas since then, including a '74 CB 125, three accords ('77, '79, and '82), a '93 Shadow 1100, and currently a 2008 Gold Wing. They generally make very functional, reliable vehicles, which is great. But love is not a word I would use to describe the vast majority of their products.

Had an '85 CB650 Nighthawk (my first street bike) that served me well for a long time, until a cellphone motorist turned left in front of me several years ago.

Bought a '99 Civic LX sedan right off the showroom floor, drove it for a year-and-a-half before selling it to my sister in New Jersey... who still drives it to this day.

My current Honda is an '88 Civic DX I bought from a mechanic buddy (and fan of Hondas) for a mere pittance. Pretty much completely stock, 5-speed, 270,000 miles, and it still gets 34-37 mpg regularly, in spite of only being able to get ethanol-laced fuel around here. Seen here vending at a BMW/MOA rally last fall:

Wouldn't mind having an '00 VFR in yellow one day...
