I just searched "pine oil cleaner in Aulstralia", and it looks like Pine O Clean looks like a comparable product at first glance!

I don't think Pine O Cleen is the same stuff. Here's what's listed in the MDS:

Chemical Name
Benzalkonium chloride (Quaternary ammonium compounds) Proportion (%w/w) 1.5
Other ingredients classified as not hazardous according to NOHSC CAS No 8001-54-5 to 100

Unless of course there's 19% pine oil in the "other ingredients" section...

I did find some Pine Sol for sale, but it's lavender scented, and $46 for a 48oz bottle (roughly 1.5 litres). That's $AUD, which is currently worth more than $USD. See here: http://www.fishpond.com.au/Lifestyle.../0041294402729

I bought the 20gal Harbor Freight parts washer last week. Bought a jug of Pine Sol at Costco tonight. I'll mix it up and have a test run this week and let you guys know how it turns out.

I'm wondering what might be similar in South Africa. (Although given that the imitations of Pine-Sol don't work, there's probably not much chance,but still, worth trying.)

The Pine-sol treatment works great! Thanks. It's helped me get both bikes running, my little K11p and the littler M31.

I've also used it on the right carb of the Mighty Tempter and hope that cured my lean running problem on that side.

I'm thinking of soaking the radiator in this for a day or two. Can it do any damage? I'm mostly looking to loosen up the clogged fins. The radiator isn't painted. It's bare aluminum.

Should be fine. Radiator shops soak 'em in acid.
