New Bultaco Brinco Electric Bicycle
I'm not really up on the state of the art in either electric vehicles or bicycles, but I'm really intrigued by the Brinco E-ped that the new "electric" Bultaco announced a couple of days ago. The idea of a bike that I could commute on, then pop the battery off and take into my office to recharge sounds really inviting.
Power: 2KW constant / 3KW peak
Torque: 60 Nm
Range: 30 km electric, 100 km w/ pedal assistance
Charging time: 2 hours
Battery: 1 KWh Li-Ion, removable for charging
Suspension Travel: 200 mm front and rear
Translating those specs to 'Merican, it's got about as much power as a moped, but more torque than a 500 Ninja, in what looks to be a very lightweight package. Add almost 8 inches of travel and 4-piston discs brakes, and that sounds like great fun.
Unfortunately, they're only selling 175 of them, and there is nothing but 3D visualizations on the website, so it might just be vaporware.

Looks like a lot of fun to me too!
I have a much lower power electric bike and it's great to get around. Mine is only pedal assist with 5 levels which basically range from an extra few MPH/easier going up hills to "I'll move the pedals halfway around every few seconds with no resistance" and maxes out at 18 MPH on the motor.
I'm a HUGE fan of E-bikes ranging from my little on to the Live Wire I got to try out earlier this year so even if you can't get one of these I'd say keep looking, there's a lot out there.
