this happened in about 95 or 96

my truck got stuck in the San Bernardino mountains around September

had a 20 plus mile hike to get to where I could get some help

weather conditions there go from baking hot to freeze your balls off cold pretty quick

used a lot of the gear I had in my kit then for the hike out, including the change of clothes and the poncho/jacket I had was a godsend since it started pouring halfway through.
