Not really interested in more War and Peace type posts, just wondered how long you had actually been riding trials, but if you cant help with that no real problem.

This should shorten it, and answer your question.

I guess then that today Sting has to be riding the over 50 class, and has over 30 years experience of competition?

Why not just let us know how long you have been riding and what class you compete in today? I have been competing since 1971, and today ride a TS bike in the TS class..................see easy wasnt it?

Wow, you started before me. First trials 4/72 first place novice 2 pts. forced into expert 8/74. Rode my first Ute cup the next week. First national `75 Cayuta , New york. Last month a 17 year old girl beat me by 41 points in the expert class, I`m sure glad she is now a national champ!
Boy I hope my parts show up soon for my TS cota!! ITSA here I come!

ITSA seems like just the sort of thing we need here in the UK! Sadly BS and high cost seem to be the main interest of organising bodies here, and I guess that before long £10K+ TS bikes will be as common as they are in the UK "P65" class!

The view of most here in the UK is that there is nothing wrong with TS, even though the fact that there are no rules as such means its probably a matter of time before modern £10k+ TS bikes start to dominate TS events here, in exactly the same way as £10k modern bikes dominate the "P65" class. There is also no understanding that a 1967 Bultaco isnt going to be able to live with an 1984 Fantic, so there are no classes for the earlier less competitive TS bikes, which means few people ride older machinery seriously.

Finally split the cases on the cota this morning. It was just a piece off the mains. Found most of one chunk, sure glad it was not the rod!! Monday the 10th I called SW Montesa wondering where my parts were that I ordered 6/28. Thursday the 12th they finally showed up. Rather be slow mail than lost with the usps. Looks like I could use a piston but the 28th is fast approaching.
NMTB needs to find a TS. Gonna be a busy month with 3 two days all in a row! Should of been 4 ,but we are going to the lake next weekend missing the western youth nationals. Told Garrett better to work on the basics at the vintage events, so he can start working on semi soon.
