Yes it came off an atc 200. I orginally bought the motor to part out and upgrade a TL125. You have to use the cam. Easy swap out.

Cool pics. Brewtus might have a seat laying around.

No, Brewtus doesn't.

Way to revive an old dead thread. Nice pics, Neil!

Me too, especially since that was my first bike. I didn't have a rear gear that big though. I do recall the ATC200 cam swap. That was supposed to really wake up the motor.

Yes. The cam and carb swap made a major difference. I had 14 lb of air in the front forks by the way, and they worked fairly well. I would like to find a small cv carb to try.

I found this thread last year and read it all the way through. A couple of months ago, I found a non running reflex and based entirely on this thread, I bought it - on nothing more than a picture. It was cheap, and I needed a project.

With very little money and a bit of time (should have been less, but it took me three tries to get the engine put back together correctly!) I have a running reflex.

Now I just need to decide if I want to put all the lights back on and plate this thing - or strip it down as light as I can. For now, she'll stay like it is. I don't think there's any trials clubs in my area, but I've got a big yard. I need to build some obstacles that I can pass off to my wife as "landscaping" or something.

More info on the rebuild here - if anyone's interested.

ATC 200 parts question

Ive got a few leaking gaskets & thought while I had Flex's motor apart I might replace the cylinder & head with ATC components - is there more fin surface area on the ATC cylinder or head & will they fit? Are there any benefits making the swap worthwhile?

Okay, I had been bombing Gravity's thread recently with the notta-updates on OJ. I felt bad about it (no I didn't) and decided to dig the wretched old heap out of it's dungeon. I already moved one bike out of the way here-

Can't even see it behind the other bikes.

Pushed it against flat tires to the front yard to give it it's first bath in well over a year. Those who know me know I don't like to have filthy bikes laying around. Even stored, they are usually clean. This was not the case with OJ. -

The red dirt tells me that it has not been cleaned since at least last November. That's Roswell filth there -

All cleaned up, and air in the tires -

I'd like to say that OJ fired right up on the first kick, but that was not what happened. The stubborn old mule was fairly recalcitrant to fire up, requiring a carb-drain and lots of kicking. It did not help that the petcock was leaking profusely, barfing $6-per-gallon Avgas all over the driveway.

So the question begs, is this the end of OJ? Honestly, I don't know. I'm not riding it, and it's readily apparent that I'm not going to in the near future either. It's either let it go to a new home or do a major makeover. The makeover sounds good and all, but my time is mostly spent maintaining the small fleet of Montesas here at the Brewtus Scuderia, and the Team TY80. I just don't know.

I'm open to trades for an RTL250 however......

Since the Ty mono was my favorite bike. I thought I might start a collection. ( Some one collects Hondos) And with our rules I can make a TY mono A twin shocker. Besides I have the rare TY mono 250 top end.

Of course you do.

One of these days, I want the FULL tour of your garage/basement/roof/yard/property/other unknown parts stashes.
