Microphone cap

Just received my Sena SM10 Dual pack. Each comes with a microphone cap. Not clear what they are for. The quick start guide says "may be useful to reduce incoming wind away from the microphone and provide clearer voice audio sound".
The photo shows it over the bare microphone covering the speaker (?) holes. Says/shows nothing about the foam cover.

Anyone understand its purpose, how it works and whether this is used instead of the foam cover or with it?

All of the Sena product is covered by a two-year warranty. If you purchased from us, we'll take care of you. If purchased elsewhere, your dealer should assist, or call Sena on 866.887.7362, option 2.

Snap the wind cap over the mic and then re-install the foam microphone sponge.

Will this lower the volume?

Anyone busted the SMH10 main unit?

After my bike decided we both needed to go somersaulting, my jog dial is worse for wear.
The jog dial & surround is deformed so now only an extremely precise 'press' area is available.
As I can still turn the unit on/off I'm afraid of doing more damage by playing around with it too much.
So... has anyone damaged a unit & found out if the jog dial is removable by a non-tech?
Any ideas would be welcome, thanks.

A bit. Keep the mic close to your mouth and you should be OK.

You can give it a try. It sounds as if you'll need to replace, anyway - so you're not likely to hurt things more than they already are. These do not survive impact all that well. Most often, the clip that fixes the main unit to the clamp, breaks off.

Adam, any idea when you'll be getting more of the earbud/stick-on mic adapters?

Cheers Adam, the clip is fine actually. I will try a gentle attack with a scalpel & see how I go.
The unit copped a battering so I am surprised just how well its working now.

Quick Question. I have the SMH10's running the new 4 software. And I have an SR10 running the latest software.

With the new SMH10's I can have 2 "head set" profiles connected (1 SR10 and 1 phone).
can I connect both SMH10's to the SR10 at the same time?

I don't have two SMH10s to test this with my SR10, but my guess is that the answer is no. The SR10 cannot do more than one HFP connection at a time.

You mean the A0303 and A0304 clamp kits? We have 'em in stock. If you meant something else, then, give us a call.

Dan is correct. The SR10 will only pair to one headset at a time.

Yup, the A0304. Your website says they ship in 1-2 weeks. I'll call today.

Thanks!
