can't tonight - might do some later in the week though!.... taking care of things around the house (boring crap like laundry).

I need to hook up my LED lights to the 1050.... that would make night riding awesome! (I have all the stuff, just gotta find the time). Finally have the brackets, the handlebar switches, the waterproof connectors.... relays, all that jazz.

Since we had so much fun with gates in the other game down at cherry point, here is a gate for you. You can take pictures of it, but evidently you can't park in front of it.

This little spur connects with the old road that used to run next to the airport.... back when you could park out there and have planes coming in right over head.... sure beat the boring observation deck.

Plenty of parking just off the road right there, so you're not in the lane of travel.

Yep - sold some stuff, getting rid of a few things - get a bike that's a little more capable if I want to do a little exploring (not into dirt riding, but might want to go somewhere to hike, etc).

Heck - I took that picture in apex at 3:42 today.... figured I would get bruced, but was collecting file tags along the way.

I wanted to tag a dry cleaners, but couldn't find any on the way home.... did find one tailor's shop, but I figured that wouldn't be as much fun.

the other point is this one is close enough to some of the recent activity to keep it moving. My other interesting tags are far enough away that I think it would sit for a bit.... that, and this file tag is stale and boring, so I'll use it up.

You know what? That place WAS a local watering hole - the property was purchased in 2006... the people right next door (3 of the parcels of land are owned by the same person, this one is a recent purchase though).. Here is what I remember...

So, there may have been some store somewhere since 1937, or it may have been a watering hole since 1937, or the property foundation may have been there since 1937 (this is possible). OR a relative with the same name owned it.... ah, who cares. Not that long ago it was purple/burgundy, the windows were painted black, and you never could tell when it was open.

Linky to tax records for franklin county (I lifted the picture from that website).

Looks better today. Even the number and orientation of the 3 signs above the front door/windows mimic the old establishment.

sorry - back to the game.... current tag not on Flat Rock Church Road..... that's been bothering me since I grabbed the tag ("I know it used to be a bar... I just KNOW it did!")
