I was just ragging on you a little. I change my own, but it would be nice to have a place to be able to have it done if I couldn't get to it in a timely manner. $30 sounds reasonable.

Does anyone in town actually keep a reasonable inventory of tires in stock? I gave up looking years ago. I do need a front tire and was getting ready to order online, but wouldn't mind getting to it this weekend if I can actually buy one local. I'll start calling around in a while, but recommendations are appreciated.

Edit: Just checked Cycle Gear (a mistake I continue to make over and over and...) and they list one tire I'd looked at. They want $150 for the same tire all the online places want around $100 for. Of all the shops I've ever spent a dime in, I truly hate this one most.

I think mayflower seafood does.... you could ride over there, grab the tag, and then check with them.... now, I could be mistaken on them having a fine selection of motorcycle tires in stock, but you could go over there and check!

I think a lot of places don't keep inventory because of costs and the ease of ordering. Cyclegear offers free delivery to the local store if it's in stock somewhere else.

I'd check with the usual suspects though:

barnetts
triangle cycles (durham)
powersports whatever in garner
foxs inc in roxboro
mayflower seafood (check there in person to grab the tag)

I wasn't sure if it was that location or the one in Garner. Kinda looked like the sign in the background was the place next to the Garner location. Let's do a group tag then go next door to ride go carts

I think the one in garner has cooler stuff in front of it.... but it was too close to the last tag.... that, and when I rode through garner it was pouring rain.... so I waited until there wasn't as much rain to find a tag spot.

Not even at gunpoint.

Ehhh.. I even get a huge discount there, but they don't keep much in stock.

Get a decent discount there too, but they don't keep much. I'll try though.

I've got the complete rundown on this. Not sure how much is for public consumption just yet. They plan to have their grand opening June 15th.

Got a new phone. Spent the last 2 days trying to get it all set up. What a PITA. As soon as it's ready to go tagging, I'm heading out for some riding.

I should mention that I hack my stuff to get rid of the bloatware...can't stand pre-installed crap. So part of the PITA has been tweaking settings and installing the OS of my choosing.

I used to do that, but then it became a part time job to maintain the "optimized" phone... so for me, optimized means I turn it on and it works, no intervention from me. That also means a lot of phones I won't ever own!
