If your Smithfield shop is Team Powersports, the rumor mill has it that they're moving into the space that was occupied by Reward Yamaha about 10 years or so ago out near the airport on Glenwood. Also heard there are zoning issues or something causing that to not move quickly.

As far as your "wish I could work there" statement from above - are you a salesman??? I think Parts is fully staffed, not sure about service and sales.
nope never been in sales...just like to assemble things...

I know where it is now. I bought an astro from Chris leith back in the early 90's
The place I was thinking of is older. Just inside the belt line.
I see you found spring hope. My grandparents in Chatham county really did get their
Water from a spring.

Anybody know a good seafood place in south topsail beach or surf city for dinner?

Pretty sure that's the old Chris Leith Chevy place. They used to be a customer of mine way back when.

Been a long time since I was in Topsail/Surf City too, but there was one good Mexican place in the middle of Topsail back then and I seem to recall a decent seafood place right in Surf City where the road T's coming in from the bridge. If you went straight, it would stop you from driving into the ocean. But that was in the mid to late 90s, so all bets are off.

yeah sounds like they're busy...problem is if I go in now I might actually get some work...but I'm committed to taking at least one trip this summer and its this coming week as well...timing not good. But long term would be nice to have a daytime job m/c related and make equivalent money to what I'm doin now. Deaf school is ok but graveyard shift can be a drag too...and having 12 months of income instead of 10 has alot going for it

But will they have the "fastest street legal rtr on the road"

All 180cc of blistering speed. Fun actually, but wound out fast with my fat ass on it. Claimed top of 118. No where near that. But coworker claims ~160mpg at Indian speeds.

He's going to take a ride on the CBR when he comes to the states this fall. I told him he'll be scared.

I'm not riding but sitting here grieveing the loss of another of our ST and IBA community. Did not know him personally but he was at Moonshine and his representation to the Iron Butt Assoc. enabled him to create the SS1000 for that event. I have talked to him like many others had thru the ST forum and always enjoyed his points of view and humor. If there was anything you needed related to LD riding he would help you unquestionably... He will be missed by many friends and family...
RIP Curt Gran...

I bout rode myself out last week. And after the 'warm' reception I got for grabbing the NC TOR the other night, I'm kind of not really interested in tagging much of anything right now. Made my fun light go out. May take some time off in favor of other pursuits.

You know you won't be out of the tagging game long. Maybe the NC one but the triangle one you will get in less than a week ;)

You got this via Crapatalk

There are virtual hotheads in any game like this. I'm as guilty as anyone on occasion. It's just a game and folks that spout off at a keyboard typically don't in real life.

Looking forward to you jumping back in here when the dust settles.

Thanks WB...I'm ready to cash out and just get a dual sport and be done with LD riding...its hard for traffic to cut you off if you're in the woods

All moot as its past tense now my friend...to chill and reflect may not be a bad idea while enjoying other pursuits.
