very nice! i saw that Versys thread a while ago and have always thought about that setup. you"re about as tall as me right (6'6")? how well does the bike fit you?

I'm a bit shorter than you. It is about the same height as an XRL. Come on out to the squares this weekend and you can ride it.

If you're going to the squares tomorrow pm me a time. I am able to ride tomorrow but not Sun.

I don't think it's seat height I'm as worried about as the lengthfrom the pegs to the bars. Hopefully we'll see each other this weekend, it's been a while since we've rode together anywanyways.

Head-ups to anyone riding the 650r off road. Buell pegs, stock 650r bracket.

Another prime example of using something it was not intended for

It was pretty good hit that broke it off. And I'm not exactly a small guy

Someone was working on pegs mounts for 650r? Any update?

with stock 650R pegs, the peg usually breaks off without snapping the tabs on the peg mount.

i think i'll start looking at some options too...got some ideas. been riding my 19" front beast. really like it. fun bikes.

I'm thinking 1/4" T6 Al with some mounts from a dirt bike that will thru bolt.
YZ450 peg mounts on ebay

Use 2 of the 3 holes for the stock pegs, eliminate passenger pegs.

are you going to CAD/CNC the plates?

i cut the passenger pegs off the peg mounts. the rear half of the stock peg mount can snap off and end up in the wheel. i have some experience there....
