They basically are... They weight 220 pounds, and the street legal version is only 6 pounds heavier. It's a shame we get none of them here. They are pricey, more than I could pay for a second little bike, but they are damn cool.

The motor is the same as in another KTM bike, but it makes only like 60% of the horsepower, and has much more forgiving maintenance intervals. In theory, a map reflash and a little bit of work and it could be just as powerful.

When I saw the credits that Julien Dupont was one of the riders, it all made sense. He is an amazing trials rider, especially freestyle. The filming and area look like where he did a trials episode in the French Alps. They used an RC aircraft for some really cool filming shots in both of these videos.

I've always wondered if/when trials riding would take off in this country. I had a lot of fun and honed my riding skills with my past trials bikes.
