No idea what the hell that says but it looks awesome! I'm going to be sooo upset if the production model looks like that because we here in the U.S. won't be able to get it. That's my dream bike right there and I won't be able to get it. Pisses me off.

In Europe we have the euro emission norm. Every 2 or 3 years there are improved.
This especially in motorcycles, means larger exhaust, heavy and hot!

I was secretly hoping it will be first 750-800 machine in range of 190 kg.

Looks like I lost hope again. 1200cc etc. etc. - OK, OK, it even looks good (who cares about looks over function)

but if Aprilia will not make lighter 750-800 cc version - that means another manufacturer missed niche existing betwee heavy like hell hyppos like GS-XLV-XTZ-DL etc. and slightly weak and uncomfyy for highway sections dualsport thumpers.

Doesn't look like a very big fuel tank which is a bit disappointing.

Caponord was 248kg dry, IIRC.

My point exactly, because it seems in the article that they say:"lightweight is one of the main objectives IF you want to remain under 200 lb.

That's a big IF, which means, weight hasn't been disclosed yet!

Let's just pray because this is one fine looking bike, and purposeful for the task at hand.
Caponord was good engine in an ugly body (my opinion) and mediocre suspension and road-borne frame.
With Aprilia, engine is generally awesome, so with such a frame/suspension/body/suspension travel, let's believe that this is a good shot at greatness for Aprilia.

Caponord engine is good. Very good. Just not Aprilia they have nothing to do with that V60...

It's Rotax, Gods of engine design who made that motor
And it won't go 1200cc, it won't tolerate that much stress unless it will be redesigned from scratch. So it will be something new. HOPE by Rotax again.

Oh, no - but I need passenger footpegs! :) My wife sometimes rides with me...
Hope dies last. Let's see.
