Howdy TP,

It can get messed up by folks running some of the trails-roads that are only open for THIS event after the event is over. Tom works very hard to get PERMISSION to use some of the trails-roads that are covered during this event.

Ahhh

I see what you are saying. Most of us who live here in Hood River are pretty good about keeping where it is cool to be. Like everywhere you have some aholes that don't follow the rules which is why our sport gets flak a bit but those I ride with are always mindful of these things and are not shy about informing other riders. I think I have met Tom one of the times I volunteered to do trail work in Post Canyon.

The Black Dog is a great ride
Tom is a hell of a guy and puts on a great event!
Really hoping to do it this year but need to get a bike soon.
Had to sell mine after an accident last year and just now getting healed up enough to try ridding again. Probably going to have to do the B course
but I am sure it will still be fun.

Here are a few pics from the last few years.

Hope to see you all there!!

This is on the entry form from the flyer:

"Dualsport course will consist of A, B, & C options. Adventure course will be the C course (but extended), consisting of gravel, dirt and paved roads"

So there doesn't appear to be a AA course?

NWSCOUT it does my heart good to hear that you are so close to being back in the saddle. I hope to see you there. I am not sure what to expect but I am looking forward to a good time. Having access to trails that are only available by permission put me over the top for this event. What a great opportunity to ride in areas we otherwise wouldn't be able to. From what I have seen of this area it is stunning and I am looking forward to it. Great pics!

In for my first time, can't wait!
Can one do the B course on Sat to get an idea of what to expect on the A course and maybe change over for the 2nd day? Just don't want to get in over my head right off the bat.

Im just going to follow oldmonkeybut around since he knows all about roll chart wizardry.
You can handle both days, especially if you do the "B" course. I typically have always done both days on the "A" course, It is a great ride no matter which course you take. I will be helping set the courses this year but Tom will keep me in check, Maybe I can find something "interesting" to keep you guys on your toes. I will be alternating throughout the week between my XRL650 and my 450KTM.

Your welcome to follow me but your gonna be surprized where you end up. I will be leaving Hood River on Thursday before the event and riding the GSA to Sectors Gone Coastal event.

That's my house down below in those (old mud flow) valley view pictures. I've lived just outside Parkdale 11 years now. Take a walk up Serveyors Ridge trail from those powerlines to High Point next time yur there. It's only a half mile. Or bring your mountain bike & ride it. Stellar.
