chucked the stock battery after 3yrs. It only lasted a few months after adding a second (smaller) battery. Installed two new Yuasa 10Ah rating batteries in my dual battery setup. Cost 164$. fires up at the first turn.

I checked on the SE's progress from Minn to Oregon. Its now in-state, arrives at the terminal tonight, and I pick it up tomorrow! Sadly, everything is covered in a nice little coating of ice right now, so not sure when I'll get to ride the mighty beast. Doesn't matter I guess as I can start the farkle process in earnest and I will name him George, and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him...and pat him and pet him and...and rub him and caress him and...

I got some more goodies in the post; 2:1 exhaust pipe, Pyndon pre-filter and a new oil feed for my Scott-oiler.

All I did today was hook up my battery to the optimiser, the connector from the battery is badly corroded, so made a makeshift connector to put me on until I can get to the hardware shop and make up another one.

So, are your going the rally low exhaust way or the standard 2-1 setup ?

Ok , I finished the water pump rebuild, changed the oil and installed LED turn signals. i need to add a flasher unit thats made for LEDs now. Wish i had known that earlier,oh well. I also ordered a Black Dog Bash Should have it next week sometime. Gonna ride the NC toy Run tomorrow.

Just the standard 2-1, I got it at a bargain price, but I like the standard sound and set up with the twin Akros.

But I'm stuck whether to fit it and get the extra fuel tank for my Moroccan trip next year

Title and plated the Super Enduro yesterday. Been futz'n with the batt a bit (some POS from Batts Plus (xtreme)). Figured it wouldn't be salvageable when I bought the bike, but thought I'd give it a while on a trickle charger and let it sit for a day to see (Big thumbs up for the Battery Tender Jr from Amazon for only $23+/-, I'm running four of them on various toys). Batt was at less than 40% when it arrived, so its likely doomed. Anyway, we'll see. Started peeling off the black paint off the orange plastics (the PO hated orange for some reason). As I feared, the PO had sanded the plastic for better adhesion. I'll be ordering new shrouds and front fender this weekend (again, no surprise to me). Looking at the bike, I see the canister is gone, but the sas is still in place. Looks like I'll be stripping the bike to do it right and install a block-off plate. Oil and filter and coolant replacement on deck. Was hoping to give it a test ride today, but it was raining hard earlier and now its snowing. Guess I'll just go out into the shop, fire up the pellet stove, grab a Stells and rub up against my 950 for a while.

PS: Great Basin arrived today!

I made this set up so I can swap my scott's between my 950 and 450 with 2 bolts and no triple change out.

Also trying a 17/48 sprocket combo.

Parts came in so I finally replaced my bent side stand, replace the bent passengers rear footpeg bracket and missing fairing screws.

... oh,... and did wheelies through the neighborhood.
