Thanks

Dropped her in the mud-the first drop "in the wild" for us; Sunday night way out inthe sticks. Nuthin for it but to pick her back up.

All to test out my new heated grips and Neduro mirrors; looks like snow this week finally so no more riding for a while...

G'day all, spoilt the big bike and my ar$e. The Hardparts suede seat pn# 60007040300 arrived in the post today, a bargain at $127. No more hot seat or slipping and sliding.

Cheers Rich

Thumb

I fixed my clutch master cylinder on my 950. This got delayed because of the holidays. I have already tried the rebuild kit.

I was talking to my local bike shop (he doesn't have any bike lines, he just does parts and service) and we got digging through the catalogs. He found a Magura 10.5 master cylinder for $150 vs $250 for the stock one. He said that if it didn't work, I could bring it back to him and get my money back.

It looks really close to the stock piece, but it is a different color and the hole for the clutch safety switch is not there (but the flat spot where it goes is there, it is just not drilled). We pressed out the roll pins and swapped the mirror mount over to the new unit.

So it is bled and holding fluid now. I need to watch it to make sure it is not leaking. So far, so good. CJ's clutch master cooler bolted right back up to it too.

While I was out in the garage installing it, we got over 6 inches of fresh snow.

Now I need to get the torque limiter fixed and the valves adjusted.

Well, nothing. Went to the Brussels motorshow to check out the competition. Came home assured: there is none.

Wouldn't mind adding this to the stable though.

Just getting started on personalizing my new to me 990.

I wanted a bit more orange and painted my scuffed up tank guards.

But as my bike is the gun metal gray and black I also wanted to add a tad more visibility at night. So I found some reflective spray coating at Granger Supply.

Think it'll work out pretty well. Just shot using the iPhone and turned on and off the "flash".

I took a different approach as I don't do dynos! I copied the design of a company with a reputation for excellence. A GPR would be a snack to copy. Maybe 2 days work........,but no power gains. When you work on a bike it should come out the other end better/lighter/more power.

some new information maybe photos

I like that, I might do my crashbars and rear racks.

I removed my steering head bearings and cleaned my Emig triple clamps in preparation for re-anodization.

I saw the other Baja photos you posted in the "KTM 950/990 Adventure owners show off your bike" thread. Sorry about your fall.
