We're going to have to have a big LC8 get together come spring... there has to be 25 or 30 of us here in the Front Range on ADV alone

Cripes.. I need to play hooky and go ride now.. it is 55 degrees out there.

You should be okay, I just moved to the western slope. With the Rockies in between, I think we're safe. It's just unfortunate that we can never ride together :(

Yeah, kind of wish I wouldn't have taken off the gas tanks. Oh well, I guess a little dirt never hurt anybody.

Until you pull a valve cover to check the valves and a big clump falls into the motor

Mount for Garmin Montana

This week I finished my mount for my Montana.

Made fom a piece of alum. angle. I also used SS plate under the dash to make sure the nuts wouldn't pull through. Eventually I want to make a plate that will hinge across the top and be locked with a drawer type lock.

How old are they and how many miles? I was considering emigs for my bike but not if they are going to need maintenance
I think the original owner of the bike put em on in 2006 and I bought the bike with 15,500 miles from the 2nd owner, if the bike was left out in the sun often in Utah (1st owner) or Arizona (2nd Owner) I could see the orange fading from the UV radiation.

Emig is re-anodizing them for free and I'm getting them anodized black since black dyes are more resistant to UV degradation/fading then other colored dyes.

I'm preparing to do just that.

But I did wash it after getting the tanks off.

After I stiffened the crash bars I did this:

Stronger wheels, akrapovics (off a super duke, see adapter fabrication below) and some matte black on some used front panels I bought to keep the originals safe from the trees, rocks, squirrels.

And then after all that it was time for testing.
