I f'd up. You'd think ~35 years of wrenching would have shown me every situation, but nope, this is a new one. The broken off piece inside the drain area is the top of CJ's oil extension hose.

Suggestions?

Easy-out will get it.

Because its since big diameter the screw extractor is unlikely to become its asshole cousin, the easy-snap.

Thanks. An Easy Out kit is one thing not in the workshop. I just chatted with Craig, and he recommended the same, so tomorrow AM it's off to the local. This kit seems to get good reviews and is in stock a few miles away....I will not be picking up cheap Harbor Freight extractors.

No....I just over-applied the internal torque wrench. The worst part of the whole thing so far is my SO was just asking me how I knew how tight things should be. Good thing she's getting better at working on her own bikes.

I think my first tool kit started something like this: A slotted screwdriver, a hammer, a phillips screwdriver, a cresent wrench, and then a set of EZouts. Any garage without a few sets of EZouts (with the broken little ones) is just an excuse for a place to park the car and keep the hammer and latter.
