Just a note-the EZ pull is rated for only 500 lbs. How DID you get it out?

Luckily I wasn't alone. My brother was following me. We tried lifting the rear end but the muck had a suction that wouldn't allow that. I finally let the rear wheel spin to help break the suction while the two of us pulled it over on it's side. We then drug it on it's side to a dryer spot.

Hondo, I'm just curious.....in the back of the photo between the bench vise and the left edge of the windscreen there appears to be some sort of a brown bottle shaped device. Is that one of the new parts for the trip?

Nice one. When I first saw the pic I thought to myself, "Where have I seen that before?" and you nailed it.

I have looked for the answer but couldn't find it.... What ended up being the issue with the bearings?

Loaded it.
Headed South for some repairs.

Hope it's nothing major but I can't get the 3k rpm bog/dead spot out of it so off to New Hampshire she goes in the AM...

There are two different thickness of bearing dust seals available.. with the Emig clamps you must have the thicker version under the lower bearing otherwise the bottom triple binds with the steering head tube before the bearing fully seats.

Took her for a ride...

Loaded 'er up Thursday evening, jumped on her Friday night and put in 175 miles by dark, barely. Camped out at Goose Lake and did another 600 miles on Saturday.

Abert Lake/Abert Rim:

Classic Central Oregon:

Ate lunch at Fort Rock:

Took the dirt route West of Goose lake on the way home..on the south dike:

So, a good full day plus a couple of after-work hours, ~775 miles....good start to the weekend!

Steve
