That appears to be an Excursion, my 04 model had a 1250# tongue weight rated hitch from the factory.

Day 2

Ride started out good today, then got excellent when I made it to Idaho... that is until I got a rear flat (and the bead wouldn't seat after I changed it). I finally got the bead (mostly seated) and rode it about 16 miles out to the highway and 24 miles to the next town then the rear tire again gave up the ghost. To make up for it, the temperatures were near 98 both times. Fortunately the second flat got fixed at a small gas station with lots of sodas in the ice box. That made up for some of it, but I lost about two hours in the travel time as a result. Still, it beats being at work.

I visited the KLR650 equivalent of this thread...what's up with no pics? Seriously. There are barely any pictures, just long lists of mods.

A camera must have not been included in the mod budget

I almost lost my clutch completely yesterday on my Adventure. Pulling in the clutch didn't do anything (didn't even slow me down at all), the bike still moved even with the lever pulled all the way to the bar. Had to screw in the adjuster at the lever all the way to get it to work at all.

I bought and installed a Renthal "Enduro" bar in titanium. And I also raised my handlebars another 1/4" or so since I was in there and I wanted them taller. I have wanted to try this bend out for a while now. So far, results are good but I think that I need to rotate them back towards me a little. They are rotated a little too far forward at the moment. These replaced a Renthal 608. I think that I am going to like them.

New tread today!

Bought the bike with Conti Attacks on it. Great tire for the road! After some research I went with the TKC 80 front and rear. I will try the Heidenau K60 Scout or the Mefo Super Explorer next on the rear.
Went from this...

To this...

I finished designing and making new side bags for the KTM crash bars. I'll soon have these for the inmates to buy for $60/pr. I played with the location of the straps until the bag was rock solid and didn't shift. The zipper is super high quality. I'm really happy with how it came out. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, I'll get better ones soon. PM me if you're really interested because I'm including a nice free gift for the first 5 customers.

Rallied the hell out of the 950 in the canyon on highway 191 south to Big Sky Resort, MT. Saw a few Highway Patrol. Got lucky and saw no flashing blue lights!

Installed the Adventure Machines secondary fan kit. Super easy install and well made. Should keep the bike cool on the Kelowna BC trip next week! Gonna test it out this weekend with Hochtouren in the mountains.

I installed one this last weekend at the CJRacer Tech Weekend in addition to the thermistor to switch them on at a lower temp. I've only seen the 5 bars on one occasion, the rest of the time it is pegged at 4 bars.

Brilliant!

Just mounted a fresh S-12 on the rear, and put in a new set of pads while I had the wheel off.
