I'm guilty, I have only ridden 150 miles on it so far, but I will certainly be taking them off in the spring

YES, that is a good decision, lose the rubber inserts on the pegs for sure.
Wider ones are a tad better too but removing the inserts is a MUST.

I installed new 16/45 chain set and pair of MT-21 Pirelli, took her out for christmas and made some shitty phone pictures :-)

Really nice surprise how the front tyre works in mud!

Cut the rubber down to 1/8 inch below the top teeth of the peg with a band saw. This gives you a nice release point for quick repo'ing of your feet, especially on urgent foot down posting. In slicker conditions, then by all means, get them the f&*k out of the way.

Just finished putting stiffer Slaven front springs in my 950. Need to wait till the snow melts so I can see if I like them. It was a pretty easy task. Just time consuming. 3 hours total not including clean up.

New grips , wired up heated grips , new pegs , and installed parts of my high fender conversion.

Still not sold on the sx85 fork guards, I will make the mounts today but I'd still like to go a different route if possible.
