Installed galfer front disc with new green pads, rejetted carbs and installed CPR filter, Rerouted fuel lines for PowerCell tank and installed tank, installed facet pump with the ADV Machines adapter plate, hard wired the GPS, and cleaned up some wiring behind the headlight. Took for a shakedown before the upcoming Baja trip. Next is a Teraflex rear and D606 front and then I'm off.

I just didn't have any tapered bolts laying around. But you are right. Do you think the Rotopax cans should be isolated from the flat aluminum with rubber in some way? Will the aluminum plate eventually wear a hole in the cans?
I bolted the mount directly to the plate and then used a piece of inner tube between the plate and rotopax.

Thanks. The tank is a night and day difference from stock. Better handling due to lower more centered weight, better seat design, two minute tank removal, slim and comfortable to ride. Oh and of course the range is nice.

Finally got around to installing the CJ kickstand re-locator I bought last summer. I don't really do any serious off-road riding with this bike, but the pictures of cracked engine cases I've seen here scared me.

Being a 990, I had to plug in the device from KTMtwins that fools the computer into believing the stand is up. I didn't really want to disable the switch, but I couldn't find an extension cable.

Also put on a Cox Racing radiator guard, mostly in the hope of improving air flow through the radiator.

First time riding this 500 mile dirt and broken pavement route. Couldn't find a riding partner so going it solo. May do a live ride report if anyone's interested?
With the gracious help of some generous inmates my route plan is ready. After catching up on my prep and packing I'll start a live report today... (Wednesday, April 3rd) prior to leaving tomorrow ( Thursday, April 4th). I'll be posting in the Day Trippin section for anyone interested.

Installed the (OEM type?) pannier frames and a set of H&B Junior panniers that I picked up from two inmates here.

The Juniors wouldn't latch tightly to the frames; that's when I found the frame latches on the cases could be repositioned.

Now they're on there tight as a drum.
