Stuck some .66Kg fork springs in and trying to fit a 16.2Kg rear spring. It sure would be nice if you could just back off the preload and remove the spring without a spring compressor, but I don't see any other way.

Installed the AKO Racing LED rear tail light with integrated signals.

I chose to wire them in along with the existing signals rather than eliminate them. As a matter of fact when I ordered it from KTM Twins I didn't know it had the signals integrated but I wanted a brighter light with less draw.

Not exactly plug n play but its tail lights and signals so its not really rocket science.

Here's a few pics of it in the garage.

Throws great light , works with hazards as well and still increases brightness when the brake is applied with the signals on.

Did my first valve adjustment at a 20k miles. OK, I was a little late. I was happily surprised to find all still in spec, though I do believe that I will have to actually make adjustments next time.

Still trying to track down the starting issues...

Took it for an 800 mile tour Colorado in the back of my truck. :(

I was planning to go to Moab prior to my work in Utah but the highway was closed and than the job briefly cancelled so I mainly drove icey snowy roads with a KTM riding...

Oil change, almost no metal anywhere, bike is 8.2hrs old.
Valve check, everything was fine.
Enduro Engineering bar risers, I'm 6'4" and used all 30mm!
Removed the locking ring from the gas cap.

Well last night was the rear lighting tonight it's the front.

I previously installed the Euro headlight switch and tonight I installed the Euro headlight and a HID kit on the low-beam and a Piaa H3 55 watt extreme white technology bulb in the high beam.

Totally straight forward instal
Here's the HID kit from KTM Twins and the PIAA light sourced locally.

Here's the stock low beam pic

Stock high and low together

HID low beam

HID with PIAA high beam

I'll update this after a night terror run.

Whole bunch of stuff added to the 990 waiting for snow to melt.

Oberon clutch slave. Flushed & filled with 5W suspension fluid.
2X 18W LED flood lights.
55W Hi/lo HID
Extra power outlet in glove box.

And, water petcocks on the Gobi bags. Mixed feeling here. First, it was tough to get them to seal. I had to use an oversize O-ring on one of the bags. I measured volume on one bag and was disappointed that it was slightly over 2L, vs. the claim of 3L. Not sure it's worth the $45 investment to carry an extra gallon of water.

Did you cut down the screens in the taps before installing them in the Gobi's?

They don't fit in right with the plastic screens in place.

I simple pulled the entire stem with screens out. That way I could also drill a smaller hole in the bag to minimize chance of a leak resulting from misalignment.

The metal inserts for mounting the petcock are sticking above the mating surface, requiring a thicker O-ring to get a seal.

Fess up. DDM tuning? I've got a pair of their 9 LED floods. Very bright in the garage. Can't wait to give them a road test. It appears they will be great in the daylight, but probably two bright to use in traffic at night.

Something like this, but with a different lens pattern.

:) Nope not DDM,, found a bulk LED lamp supplier that carries some Single 10W LED units for 40 bucks.. Supposed to be waterproof. We shall see I ordered 1 extra for "testing" Similar to the Factory KTM lights.

I live in permanent fear of my bike falling over when I get off and breakign expensive ones.... LOL
