Thumb Installed 2" Rox Risers

Installed 2" Rox Risers: a bit finnicky with the cable lengths, but eventually got it all to work nicely. My back is much happier now!

got it put back together. took a quick spin and things definitely feel more plush and not so harsh on the top. will have to get it out in the dez and see about the bottoming though. that was my biggest complaint. i could ride the bike faster than it could handle, hopefully this solves that problem.



also cleaned the garage, but that's not really that exciting....

Rode it to the pack & ship store, shipped the OEM end can off the 1150, filled the tanks with fuel and rode home.

Only did two wheelies.

Beta testing the Moose shorty -5 screen in blue...

This screen should be coming out soon...



This is the -5" version currently referred to as the Shorty.



This was my first experience with the Shorty. I felt it was slightly more turbulent then my -2.5 version at speeds above 65mph, but slightly less turbulent below 65 mph until about 35mph where wind isn't noticable on any of the screens. People love the shorty and I can see why.

I'm told Moose will offer the -2.5 in the translucent blue and also translucent orange like the -2.5 smoke they've made here.



I do combine my current -2.5 screen with a SAENG wind deflector trim that also "helps" reduce ( not eliminate) buffeting. I'm really happy with this set up for me (5'11" and high waisted). And sleeker side mirrors do make an improvement as well. You can get the ones like mine from CJDesigns which don't vibrate at higher speeds.

I still love to lean into my screen at high speed and also peer through it as a sightline. (Call me an old cafe racer at heart, or a neanderthal... either would apply at times I suppose).

And the blue tint really works for me, clearer then the darker stock smoke, very pleasureable to view through on longer rides. Easy on the eyes. And slightly more vis through it at night.

I've had no problem with the fit of the Moose screens although I've read some others complaints in threads. I simply install them from the top down and use the allen wrench to line up the opening before setting the screw in place. And the shields align pretty easily for me.

Just another of many observations in screen futility.

I changed the plastics to a set of plastics I purchased from Dune. No longer grey! The Graphics are nice Crispy Designs.

Found a nail in the rear tire (yeah, the rear tire isn't the one behind the bike:P)
Luckily enough I've found a tire shop in 10miles out of nowhere, so they've patched it for me:)
(love how easy it is to remove the tires.. the guy at the shop couldn't believe it:))

Wink My first oil change

KaTy M. has 49900 km. For the first time I changed the oil and cleaned the screens. Thanks to the WOTF in KTM950.info.

I also removed and repaired a bolt that was spinning with the nut and didn´t come out.

OIL everywhere... I filled almost 3 L

Tomorrow will be my first travel with her. 130 km tarmac and hope to get back offroad to my hometown

I replaced the screws with flatheads, (#8's) in Stainless with lock nuts. Then moved all the rubber bumpers to the top and used fuel line vent hose along the bottom edge as grommet. Then when assembling I pushed the fan as far away from the radiator as I could. Looks like it's going to work.
